Welcome to our journey!
Over 10 years ago, Nunu was forced to flee her home country, Turkey, as dictatorship took hold. Leaving behind her home, career, and friends, she had to start over. Determined to move forward, she focused on continuing her PhD in psychology while also finding ways to support her family. To save money for her studies, she began selling handmade wall hangers on Etsy. But along the way, something unexpected happened. The thrill of creating, the joy of solving customers’ needs, and the excitement of helping people find the perfect gifts ignited a deeper passion one for business.
What started as a side project quickly grew into a full-fledged mission. Nunu fell in love with entrepreneurship, not just for the creative freedom it offered but for the connections she built with customers and fellow business owners. She wanted to do more than sell; she wanted to support small businesses by providing them with high-quality, affordable products and exceptional customer service.
And let’s be honest between you and me, Nunu just loves being around strong, driven business owners and learning from them.
With just one printer and a t-shirt press in her home, she took the first step. Now, Nunu’s Thread & Ink Studio has grown into a thriving warehouse in the Outer Banks, North Carolina, serving businesses and individuals looking for custom, high-quality prints and designs that make a statement.
Along the way she fell in love her husband Lloyd (Charlie) who helped her grow with his talent in business.They have 2 cats, Mia & Loki and a dog named Benny. They love traveling, rock climbing, sailing, hiking and skiing. Their goal is to visit all National Parks with 10 years. They think about their baby Charles that they lost early in their pregnancy every day and get strength from his strength to grow their businesses and help their community.
In the last few years Nunu’s Thread & Ink Studio became one of lead personalized clothing businesses in United States of America thanks to the strong women that joined her team Shelly Belangia, Chevelle Estrada, Stephanie Wills, O’Shea Sawyer & Dee Moore. Without these amazing, strong, smart, hardworking women Nunu's Studio wouldn’t be where they are now.
We have shipped to customers all around U.S, and many countries: Canada, Italy, France, Australia and more.
We have sold over 200.000 products and we cherish all our customers.
